Fun and Inspirational Fonts That Go Beyond Halloween

While the weather here in California is showing few signs of fall, my email inbox and neighborhood shops are all displaying fall colors and spooky Halloween decorations galore. Today I found myself shopping online for a set of cool hanging lanterns that look like witch hats after clicking a link in an email I received at a vulnerable (or as we like to call it, "Squirrel!") moment. We love the holidays here at Ruff Haus and we often find ourselves getting into the swing of things earlier than most. We're designing custom holiday cards for clients weeks before they're even on the local store shelves. But before Thanksgiving, Hanukkah or Christmas, there's Halloween, and what better way to add some playful pizazz to your Halloween-themed marketing materials this month than grabbing a nice creeeeeepy font!

Bookeyed Martin

Now this is what I call a fun AND versatile font! At first glance it's ideal for just about any Halloween-themed design, but when you take that second look, you start to see how it would be useful for other holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. But why stop at just holidays? How about a fun package design or poster!

Here's where we found it for purchase:

Cantoni

It's pretty obvious this font would be great for use on a wedding save the date, invitation or place card, but how about any romance-themed event? I think, yes! Look closely and you might even start to think Fall and Winter events or perhaps even a perfume bottle. Pair it with a pumpkin and I think this one has Halloween written all over it as well!

Reditum

Creepy or Romantic? How about either one! Pair this font just right with an elegant Serif or Bold Sans-serif and the possibilities are endless. The dramatic contrast between thick and thin make this font easy to pair. After Halloween, use this font for a goth music poster or album cover.
